I wouldn't trust anything he or his lawyer said at this point . Prove that he is who he says he is at this point and go from there. We would hire people all the time we thought were citizens but I wouldn't bet my life on it nor did I have to. Just had to go thru reasonable steps and have a good faith belief. Law doesn't require you to be right
