And yes current and former CIA directors are free to speak their mind re: behaviour of the prez. Brennan, just an FYI for you, has not mocked the potus nor has he engaged in relentless bashing of him either. I think he has questioned Trump's questionaable behaviour. Not only are former directors allowed to do that, they damned well better.
