good for two years once you are no longer using it. if you are continually using it then it's good for 6 years now ( i think) using it could mean you are still in the federal gov't, military etc or through some federal contracting job that required a clearance.
now all classified intel is on a need to know basis. so regardless if you have a top secret clearance if you're looking at top secret materials that you have no lawful need or business looking at you'd be in violation.
brennan's would have lapsed essentially in January 2019 anyway presuming he was not using it for some legit federal contracting job in the interim. I have no idea what he does outside of ranting at POTUS on Twitter. he's very much Trumpian in that regard come to think of it.
