having the auto industry tilt at windmills cost them in terms of profits, jobs, expansion? How much does it hurt their stock prices that are invested in by retirees everywhere?

Presidents, like Obama love to issue requirements that will take effect long after they are gone. 54.5 miles per gallon, twice today’s average, are you kidding me? But when it was initiated, the president looked like a hero for the planet the people and the polar bears.

I think it was Obama’s magic wand that was waved over that absurdity. Might have been W’s. Not certain.

Either way, it’s a feel-good pipe dream. The kind of things Liberals love.
