of the country is the whole point of elections, is it not? I mean if he wasn't doing what voters wanted he would lose, either in the primary or the general.

The "quality-control" of governance is an informed and active electorate. We shouldn't take choices away from a voter just because many (perhaps most) aren't doing their due diligence.

Just my opinion, anyway.
