I do, however wonder the reasoning of denying Due Process to someone who is inside the US (illegally or not)... The Feds need to speed up the process, not eliminate it.
What is Hose-A is legal but doesn't:
1) have his ID on him at the time he is asked for it? Does he get arrested & deported without the opportunity to get his ID and prove his legal status?
2) What if Hose-A lost his ID (or had it stolen) and hadn't bothered to get the replacement yet? Does he get arrested & deported without the opportunity to get his replacement ID and prove his legal status?
Philosophically, I agree with the mindset that we need to have a zero tolerance policy for the illegals that are apprehended and speed up the deportations. The devil is in HOW to do that without violating the Due Process that everyone with a physical presence in the US is afforded under the Constitution.
