I neither fear nor hate my govt.

I understand that hating the govt is something you guys consider really cool. I don't.

Is govt perfect? Fck no. Of course not. So what. Funny thing - read this - that we have learned in the scourge of charges v your Hollywood and DC types of sexual abuse is that indeed power corrupts. Power can corrupt in govt.

One thing I deeply regretted that came about initially in the early 90s was this rush of people who had made a killing in Business and medicine rushing into govt. The pensions kick ass. That is a draw. But these are folks who swear that govt is the enemy and is a failed enterprise. They get it, kill funding and say - see it doesn't work. That is a tangent.

I went back to find your point and you didn't have one. We live in a nation based on the principle that we have a govt of by and for the people. This govt HAS been in crisis, but that does not detract from the ideal.

I am idealist my friend. Thanks for your offer to teach me the ways of the world. You are a child of God and have much to teach.
