He was still under contract but made it clear he was unhappy.

The problem isn't that they built the team around LeBron in his image, per se. It's that building a team around LeBron in a way underutilizes the talents of other great players. He is the focal point of everything they do. Kevin Love went from a dominant post guy to a spot-up shooter, more or less.

Contrast that with the Warriors. They run a style of offense that actually benefits everyone involved. It's not just 20 seconds of Curry dribbling around then either shooting or passing to someone else to shoot.

For so much of LeBron's career, the story has been that the team around him sucks. Well ... maybe there's a reason for that, and maybe it's in part because he's not an easy guy to build around.
