Nobody is excited here, bud. Well I guess maybe you are but that is another issue if so.

So if the money is for "nefarious reasons" as you put it, then you can't just let the evidence walk out with the old man into Albania while you look into it. The money or potential evidence, would have to be quarantined until there can be a hearing.

Now in my opinion there is an entirely different, and sometimes legitimate, debate on the fairness of these seizure hearings, but what cannot be debated is that one great way to avoid these potentially unfair seizure hearings is to not try to carry large bundles of cash into a foreign country when there are perfectly safe and legitimate ways to transfer the money for transactions that you are not trying to hide.

One question you have not seemed to show any interest in is whether this fella had anything to hide? Does that matter to you at all? If not, perhaps your concern with this issue is that it involves government control, and everything else does not matter. If so, just say so.
