some of what he says to be cringe-worthy, I'm not sure thin skinned is accurate.

I've had discussions before, where I seriously wonder whether he actually enjoys the battles. He seems to revel in the back and forth with the media. And unlike previous presidents, certainly the exceedingly lame GOP establishment, he lands a lot of good punches.

Republicans tend to be punching bags or pinatas, and are afraid to look unpresidential by responding angrily to venomous, childish and often false attacks by the media and the socialists.

I know that if I were under constant attack by the media or a publicly visible group that everyone saw, I would curl up in the fetal position and need a safe space, a comfort animal, and heavy sedation.

He is a scrapper. And while he does not always comport himself in a way that I find presidential or appropriate, I think that is part of his appeal. Sort of an "everyman" in the White House. Someone earthy, someone with flaws sometimes glaring, but someone who will give as good as he gets. Someone who won't give anyone a free punch.

And I think that yes, what he does incites and encourages more attacks, but so far… He is up to it.

I am glad he is there. He's certainly better than fat Hilary, and I cannot imagine anyone from the GOP establishment standing up to tyrants, socialists, dictators, and the media as successfully as he does.

Add in the attention seeking never trumpers from his own party...sellouts who will leak and lie and support the opposition, in exchange for a nice write up in the NYTimes or a softball interview on CNN, and I find it remarkable that he has the perseverance he has.

Seems that outside of a few republican misfits, some Fox news opinion journalists and just over half of the American people, everyone thinks he's a dope. Maybe that inspires him. Maybe his ego is so enormous that he wants the battles and encourages the attacks.

He was not my first choice or my second, but I'm very glad he's there.
