at any time for any reason is just a nut.
Government has a role. It is not the role of mommy or daddy or nanny, it is the role of extending temporarily, a helping hand to someone who is down on his luck. Americans helping americans.
Temporarily, not generationally. That is part of the role of government. To believe, or rather to say you believe that government has no role whatever in ever extending a hand for any reason to any person for any length of time is just nuts.
Regulate the flow of labor over the border. Labor? Like MS 13, like the welfare recipients, like the pregnant moms, like the drug dealers...why not call a spade a spade and not a gardening implement? He's talking about immigration, but disguising it as a labor issue.
People are not entitled to come here. Any more than marine seargent timmoresse was entitled to make a wrong turn at the border and serve months in a mexican federal prison.
We get to decide who we want to allow in. People who can contribute, people who will make us stronger. People who will give more than they take.
The military needs to be massively upsized. Obama has depleted it to dangerous levels and yes, most dovish naive peace-nics who want to retreat within our borders and only defend our nation are nuts.
This is not the friggin alamo. There are ways in here and there are enough americans out there, that we can not just wait on top of the wall and shoot the injuns or the russians or the terrorists when they attack with infantry, calvary and cannon.
The US is the last best hope of the world. No, we are not policemen. But we can deter threats for the sake of world peace. You in favor, i mean is ummm in favor of world peace?
We can fight our enemies over there so we don't have to fight them over here.
I would argue that our presence on the korean peninsula has kept the peace in a region that includes china and north korea, peaceful for sixty years. You prefer war, i mean does ummm prefer war?
Similarly in europe. Smallish conflicts, not major conflagrations.
All i'm saying is that call immigration issues what they are. Yes there is a labor component to immigration, but it is not an effort to centrally control the flow of labor.
That's not honest.
