He was a cheap placeholder.

The Weiss hire was a catastrophe that truly tanked the program for a decade.

Now you need to find a great AD to go out and get you a coach that can get you out of the cellar while the stadium is being renovated. Maybe you'll get lucky and that coach will be really good but it's likely going to take one more hire before you can start winning 7-8 games per season.

At this point you just need to start winning 3-5 games a season.
