he would have been bullied into pleading guilty to the misdemeanor and gotten probation (or worse, time served if he couldn't afford bail).

prosecutors are professional bullies, and this **** happens every single day in every single county. "you guys" only notice when it's a figure you ______. i don't know how to finish that sentence...empathize? relate to? i don't know.
