i think it's closer to ensuring a messy impeachment proceeding which will drag hawley down. that is not to say he can't win, but it will impact him negatively.

greitens wasn't going to be convicted of the felony, but there was going to be enough to turn all but the most ardent supporters away. impeachment was a near certainty. now it's going to be a whole cluster****.
