...but they're all "majors." As I said in a post above, you have to go to Div. 2 or 3 or NAIA to be less than "major."
In my opinion, it's only people who want to circle the wagons and belittle the programs outside of the 53 (?) FBS schools — for whatever reason — that perpetuate the connotation that "major" is synonymous with "high-major" (or, really "'Power 5'") when the fact that the denotation of "major" is "Division 1." (You can disagree with "my" distinction all you want, but you would be incorrect.) The fact that "mid-major" and "low-major" contain the word major means they are major. Period.
