Now the problem is defining evil. What is evil? Disobeying the Ten Commandments? This is the old covenant. Is adultery=murder= honoring your parents? Most would say no. Is evil acting in a non God-honoring way, not loving God and your neighbor? It's beyond my pay grade.
Certainly God has put in all of us a sense of decency. When a child is kidnapped, raped and murdered, we all feel this injustice. Where else does this human sense of outrage come?
We know evil. The problem today is too often both sides see the other as evil and will this escalate to the level that will please the enemy?
