There are also psychological and social issues, and the lack of experience in the adult world. I Think the danger exploitation of an 18 year old just out of high school is even more pronounced in basketball because it is such a small group (and I'm talking about bad teammates and hangers on, not the business side of pros, that is a separate issue).
