After beating Arizona, Tad was asked if he enjoyed it just a little more due to the cheating allegations and Tad answered that of course it meant a little more. He basically said USC and UA were the 2 most talented teams in the league so of course it means a lot to beat them. The USC coach took it as some kind of challenge to his manhood, so the next game against USC, he made sure to try to rub it in Tad's face by calling a timeout with 15 seconds left in some attempt to set up a play while they were already winning by 12. Although unsuccessful, their coach was jumping up and down and screaming at his players to 'crush' CU. Even after that debacle of an attempt to rub it in, with the few waning seconds left while CU was just dribbling the clock out towards the sideline, their players mugged the CU player while flexing over him and fist pumping.
It was one of the most embarrassing forms of sportsmanship, the lack thereof, that I've honestly seen in a while from a coach and his players. That was only bested by the coldest of cold hand shakes and USC players taunting coach Tad afterwards. It left an indelible mark of hate for that program likely permanently. I mean, congrats on cheating to get great players, but acting like fools because the opposing coach had their "name in their mouth" was ridiculous.
It will make for some interesting games next year when CU is a lot better.
