a player on CMs team, and it is up to CM to develop the game plan, communicate it to the players, make sure it's being executed, and make adjustments as needed.

If CM did that and Michael didn't follow.........yes, it's on him.

And it's on the overall team chemistry. Part of the team chemistry is having confidence in yourself and each other, understanding your role and the role of your teammates, understanding your own strengths and weaknesses, and understanding the strengths and weaknesses of your teammates. If you have that it removes a lot of the self doubt.
