assert whether or not the evidence warranted an investigation.

I do think that the manner in which the FISA warrant was issued was fraught with problems and should itself be investigated. I think that the evidence procured because of the Steele dossier and the circumstances surrounding how it came to be used to open the investigation should also be critically examined. To the extent that it was improperly obtained &/or used &/or that FBI operatives and others tainted the investigation and the evidence obtained, standard rules for throwing out tainted evidence etc. should be followed.

Hopefully we can agree to let all of that play out as well.
