One of Mueller's charges was to investigate that, whether Russians took actions to influence. These 13 indictments are the result of that investigation. Per Trump campaign cooperation and/or conspiracy - that is another of the charges that Mr Mueller has. These indictments yesterday were not part of that. The FACT that Mueller now has added Robert Gates to the prosecution's side might worry Trump supporters. Muelller is cutting him a deal for intel - and Gates was there from campaign through the transition.
