at Walter Reed Army Medical Center. We lived at the Walter Reed Annex, which was an old private girl's school several miles from the hospital where we had barracks (rooms for 2), mess hall, movie theater and chapel. The barracks was the old dormitories, mess hall was the old dining hall, the chapel was the old chapel and the movie theater was...well, I'm not sure what it was.
We were allowed to have a car if we wanted, but most of us rode the shuttles that ran from the hospital to the annex.
We attended class Monday-Friday 8:00 am-4:00 pm with an hour for lunch on our own. On weekends we did whatever we wanted.
