Astro, you're out of line with your thinking.
I am officially complaining, and I haven't been to one game in Columbia this year. I don't live there, but am a big MU fan. I didn't go to school there, but I grew up in mid MO. My parents both went there, and my brother played football there. I played basketball at a lower level college that had a degree that Mizzou didn't offer, or I would have went there.
I did pay a lot of money to take my kids and my wife, and even my brother and cousin to watch Mizzou play in St. Louis in the bragging rights game. I'm also paying an exorbitant amount to take myself and 3 friends to the UK game in Columbia on Feb 3rd.
But when I watch the games on TV, I get ****ed when I see all the empty seats in the background that the camera shows. With all the hype this year, why the heck aren't people going to the games that they have tickets to, or at least give them away to friends so they can fill the seats. It makes no sense to me. I'd change my schedule and drive a few hours to use those seats if I knew the owners would give them to me. The seats I got for the UK game are not nearly as good as those empty seats, and I paid a LOT of money for them.
