Anyone blowing this off like it's not a big deal does not understand the implications of how bad it looks on TV. To be one of the only decent sized programs that has a decent team that can't fill those god**** TV seats.. It's pathetic. The fact that our AD apparently doesn't think it's important, is also pathetic.
You think recruits don't notice & wonder about that, or that rival coaches don't point that out to those recruits? It's ridiculous & we should all be tired of seeing it, and & especially tired of the AD letting it happen game after game, which has been going on for damn near a decade or more. It's a problem that needs to be fixed.
I would love to be at those games, but it's just not feasible. For the great effort that teams put on display it's such a sad sight to see those seats, so close to the floor go unfilled game after game. If those lazy old 'tards who are supposed to be sitting there aren't going to show up the entire game, why the hell can't they be filled by some rowdy students?! That whole section should be jumping around & showing some spirit, instead of looking like a Sunday matinée at an old folks home. The team deserves better.
