A big part of that path for some people is self-realization. Recognizing what makes you happy, what does not and acting accordingly.

I've found as I get older I know myself better. Complications can occur trying to resolve conflicts between what makes you happy and your significant other, family or friends happy but that goes back to the first step which should help you find a good mate. Family can be tougher and friends, if necessary, can be jettisoned if they make you unhappy or vice versa.

Life is a lot more like golf than checkers.
