revisit the failures of yesteryear, instead of moving forward and leaving that in the past.

If only you hadn't failed some social test in your life 10 years ago, maybe you would be a millionaire with no need to constantly go back in time to criticize others, so you feel better about your past failures.

Of course, my comment here is just a mindless speculation and has no bearing on reality, but is a example of something that could have happened to a lesser person than you.
