Much of his behavior is not really needed. He picks very weird battles at times...I know some of it helps him to cover the extreme base that loves the emotion, but then he loses some core support in my view. I do agree with Sal that his numbers are probably not as bad as stated. The liberals have already dug in against him regardless, but there are still a ton of moderates that I think would love to see his policies advanced, and many that actually think he could help those less advantaged, but he is hell bent on attacking them. If the Dems come up with anyone reputable, they will steamroll him.
