ts the US for a couple of weeks "on holiday". Woman is 7+ months pregnant, but they plan to be back in Germany long before the baby is born.
Lo and behold, the walk around Disney World brings on early labor and the child arrives in an Orlando hospital.
Is the baby a United States citizen, based on the 14th Amendment?
Answer: No, and neither is the child of an impoverished Guatamalan female citizen who plans to and has a child in the US after entering without authorization.
Both women are citizens of their respective countries of origin and subject to their jurisdiction, not that of the US.
Why isn't the German child automatically a US citizen?
