Alas, that is the lot of anyone who votes, unless you write in all of your candidates.
Along the same lines, with our current system we are in effect given binary choices with respect to who will be elected. In many/most instances, they are going to increase spending, which is often already built into the equation via prior legislation. Even trying to limit the increases is very difficult & oftentimes impossible to accomplish for an individual or even most groups of individuals.
The size of the government and the taxes are already far too high, so the real solution is to cut government spending.
Given that our binary choices are often between a candidate who will push communist/socialist type "solutions" via an ever expanding Big Brother Government and raise taxes at the same time vs a candidate who vows to cut spending and cut taxes, but often can't accomplish the former, and sometimes can't accomplish the latter either, and also often pushes for more military spending... I will usually opt for the latter. Choosing what is likely the least bad option. But the real trump card for me is who is in favor of continuing the ongoing, often brutal slaughter of thousands of innocent human beings on US soil every day, and who is in favor of stopping the genocide, I will choose the latter every time.
Fortunately, for the most part, the worst of the worst gravitate towards the Democratic Party, at least at the national level, but increasingly at the local level as well. The ideal, of limiting the size of the government, limiting government spending, reducing taxes, and saving tens of millions of innocent unborn human beings are all usually advocated by those opposed to the evil Democrats.
Calling someone a liberal, is obviously a very low blow and uncalled for here. Even you don't believe it, but I suspect call me that just because it is the worst insult at your disposal. Shame on you.
