For one, I would take pretty much everything you stated on the economic side, and get rid of it at the federal level. I might even take much of it and get rid of it at the state level.

Then you can have a local network that is a combination of private and local public entities that can help people and families at that level.

I believe everyone should have full access to food, shelter, primary education, and medical care. How that gets done exactly I do not exactly know. If done locally, there can be literally thousands of models tried....the ones that work can then be copied or improved upon by others.

I do believe there should be a basic min wage, and where we are at now is reasonable, but clearly min wage should differ across regions of the country.
