It is interesting stuff. Makes clear how nationalism and religion are commonly used tools for controlling the population. Once you understand how various religions were used by the "leaders" of ancient civilizations under the various cults that we now consider absurd, (sun worshippers, moon gods, most had multiple gods), and how religion evolved to where it is today, it is clear that much of the dogma of organized religion is just hooey and most of christianity's dogma was just lifted from those old pagan religions.
One thing you see is that the same basic tactics were used over and over, the dogma varied, the tactics didn't because they had a common purpose, behavior modification/population control.
As one would expect, we were not taught any of that in K-12. Wonder why? Well for one thing, it invites critical analysis and independent thinking. To our elites, those are dangerous things. Although they would express it as undermining national unity.
So while I would love to see substantive education on these types of matters, I don't expect it. Not going to happen.
