every non-insane normal human being ever born believes he has a right to his life, freedom and property and that infringing upon those things is an unnatural (and hence criminal) act.
There is a reason humans naturally respond to murder, rape, theft, kidnapping with shock, disdain, horror, sadness.
It's in our nature and not tied to education, geography, religion or even when in time you existed.
There is everything "universal" about these feelings and such were catalogued and given a name.
