Some of the mocking is deserved because of basically how Pickle mocks others. you go there sometimes as well. Ummm is one of the few that show consistent patience..and he will just leave a conversation if he feels it is going nowhere.

As ummm pointed out, it is clearly a traditional side to it.

there is also a big mistrust of private businesses...even more than mistrust of the public, and I believe that is behind it as well.

Then there are those that feel that a duplicating efforts is just not great use of overall resources.
