Already exhibtion games. Why wouldn't fans still travel?

By definition, the fans that travel are the fans who most closely follow the program. I think it would be attractive to see that much-anticipated new player we've all been hearing rumors about but who's redshirted. It would even give the networks more to "sell" and promote. No small thing, given viewership is down overall anyway.

The BCS could even use this as a way to extend the rankings value of non-playoff bowls:

Stipulate that BCS rankings will be used to set bowl matchups 1-30 and therefore the final poll rankings of the year. Then you have 15 bowls that are still competitive bowls which is more than enough.

The rest would be "Futures Games."
