Making millions. Death threats are over the top, but I still don’t feel bad for someone knowingly getting into the business of college football. As the money goes up, they must know the leash gets tighter.
Second, I don’t know if Barry Odom is the guy. I still lean towards “probably not”, but it is REALLY nice not to be involved in the coaching circus going on right now. It’s gotten insane and many of these schools need to take a good hard look in the mirror and ask themselves what they’re really there for. If it’s to play great football and put kids in the NFL, then so be it. Or is it to grow young adults and shape them to into tomorrow’s leaders through knowledge, discipline, and drive?
Because I can tell there aren’t many Nebraska alum talking about the University losing it’s AAU status, but man, the message boards are filled with them talking about paying a third coach next year.
