killer technology for us all.

It's probably pretty overblown, however. As someone in the comments below the article linked to below noted, if the batteries really could charge up for 500 miles in 1 minute the electric hookups would have to be straight to the telephone poles & you'd need monster gloves to insulate you from being blown through a wall. No 220 or even 440 outlet could handle that much power.
