Chase brought many elements of his high school system with him (Dodge consulted with our coaching staff at that time) and had a corps of NFL-quality (and nearly so) receivers at that time, the likes of which you won't often find:
Rucker (close)
Coffman (couple of short stints, 3rd rounder)
Saunders (invited training camp)
Alexander (played for Chargers, but for his knee would have been a great one)
Maclin (1st round pick, star)
So many here forget the role(s) receivers play in making the quarterback's play stand out ... it's as though people really thought Mauk was good in 2013 when he could just throw it up in the air for DGB. He wasn't, and that showed itself more and more as time went on.
I like Daniel and what he did for the program - don't get me wrong, but there are a lot of people here who for one reason or another don't seem to like to consider how intertwined some of these issues are or can be.
