And almost always their INITIAL, IMMEDIATE reaction is exactly like this guy's Mother.
Shock. Bewilderment. Disbelief. Dumbfounded. Grief.
The last thing they want to believe is that their child is bad.
It's perfectly normal.
She's not excusing his corrupt behavior.
She's being a normal Mother...
