I think I've talked to just a few more parents of those accused of crimes than you have. They don't all excuse the corrupt behavior of their children. They don't all say they are good kids. One size does not fit all. All moms do not tell me he's a good kid, when their child is facing charges. Some of them even tell me their child needs to go to jail to get straightened out. The ivory tower you are sitting in isn't the real world.
