No, I don't want to ban cars because of drunk driving deaths. You have to get a license to drive a car though. You have to pass a test. You have to get safety inspections. You have to renew tags. There are speed limits and limits on the consumption of alcohol.
With guns, we could have universal background checks. We could have laws to prevent terrorists and the mentally ill from buying them. We could have bans on bump stocks. We could have fingerprint sensors. None of those things take away your "right" to own a gun.
