Walters and Odom are very comfortable working together - neither threatened by the other. Walters can take on the full D-Coordinator title and the accompanying raise and then Odom can go hire a young up-and-coming recruiter-coach for the secondary. My vote is for Kenji Jackson currently coaching safeties at Missouri State -- he has experience as a GA on MU's two SEC East Championship teams, another 4 years in the Chicago metro with Northwestern and of course he's from Mansfield, Texas. He's frankly a perfect fit for what Odom needs -- young coach who wants to be at MU, knows the culture required to win at MU, knows Texas high school football.
