is enough demand for any product there will be enough profit there for someone to supply it.

You can go after suppliers all day long but if you don't reduce demand there will be someone else willing to step up and fill the need.

If we were serious about stopping drugs we would make the penalties for possession and use so high that most would not want to risk it.

No problem can be eradicated from the supply side only.
