be done in an intelligent and thoughtful way, not a reactionary way.

We had an assault weapons ban in the 90s, it didn't do anything. Know why? An infinitesimal amount of crime is committed with assault weapons compared to handguns.

Address the root of the issue (mental health, socio-economic disparity, education) and balance that with sensible gun restrictions and I'm fine with it.
