Long answer: I had no idea what I wanted to be when I grew up. Already on academic probation, I had a semester of 4 Fs. That will do it.

Cool thing was, about the time I wanted to go back, MU instituded an academic forgiveness plan. It was designed for students exactly like me, to get us to come back and finish up to help the graduation numbers or something. I got the semester removed from my GPA, and while it still shows up on my official transcript, it was crossed out, based on the fact that I returned and was a good student for a couple of semesters.
