He's better than good. Was a third-team AA at that level.

But he's also a 6-1 guard.
His totals aren't particularly impressive (11.8 ppg, 3.5 rebounds, 3.8 assists), but he did shoot 43.2% from three as a junior.
I don't think there's any real question over who the better player is. Geist had better numbers as a freshman at the juco level while playing against better competition. VanLeer doesn't have production to match at the college level, but he was a better player in high school, and it's not like Dubinski filled the stat sheet as a freshman and sophomore at Columbia College.
He's a damn good NAIA player and should be celebrated as such. If I lived in Columbia, I would have a lot of fun following him through high school and college locally. But the idea that he's better than guys who've started even on a horrific SEC team is a huge stretch.
