Gotta hope all the pieces fall into place to make up for losing Kan. I think the talent is there. Especially if we get some significant contributions from some freshmen. Can't wait to see MM, she is supposed to have crazy athleticism. But I think the season will ultimately rise or fall based on our big 3, Crow, Larsen, and Munlyn. The great teams are always loaded with great players, and those are our best. All of them need to have monster years for us to challenge again for a national seed.
I wish you were wrong about Kreklows scheduling but I know you aren't. Conservative is a kind word for it. If he doesn't give them a big girls schedule in 2013, 2016, and 2017, when the team is deep, and loaded with great talent and great seniors, he never will. The two weekends with BYU, San Diego, Boise St and Utah are fine, the other two are not. As a rule of thumb I'd like to see every weekend in non conference have at least one peer, one legitimate top 30-35 type team.
I just wish Mizzou VB played in a tougher conference. The SEC overall just doesn't prepare a team adequately for the pressure and talent they face in the NCAA tournament, and doesn't give a team a good chance to build a tournament resume. Once again it looks like the SEC will be the big 4 (Florida, Kentucky, Mizzou, TAMU) and the little 9. I'm sure 3-4 teams will emerge from the bottom 9 that are tougher than the rest, but I'd be surprised to see any of them with RPIs higher than the 50-60 range, and shocked if any of those 9 teams break through into the top 4 in the conference.
