wouldn't have a nuclear weapon now or in two years if there was no deal?

This is the part that the critics on the Iran deal miss. They assume that there was another path to ensuring Iran wouldn't have a nuclear weapon in short order.

Other than a military strike, there was no good option. We tried sanctions, and they stood up despite them. There was no taste for a military strike because the odds were long and couldn't guarantee we'd remove all the facilities.
