as alleged by the investigation because he participated in his wife's campaign. Now, it seems to be that there should be some kind of de minimis test for activities - does him wearing a t-shirt or holding a sign saying he's voting for her cross that line?
He was, at the time of her election, an FBI employee which the Act prohibits from participating in a campaign (as I understand the allegations).
The rest of it is just smelly politics, but I doubt anything could be directly linked or that would be a separate investigation and probably not under the Hatch Act.
