fans — including myself — who care about the olympic sports: volleyball, wrestling, track, etc...

because I dream of MU winning a TEAM title in one of those sports. That's all the majority of fans following those sports care about.

That doesn't mean I'm not happy for an MU student-athlete when they win an individual-title. I feel happy for them, but it's not title for Mizzou. In college sports, schools (and their fans) only claim TEAM titles for their school, which is why people say "Mizzou only has 2 national titles in its history". The individual titles don't count in that regard, and that's why the majority of fans (even of the olympic sports, like myself) don't care about them.

You tried to twist my OP into a "zounami is bashing Mizzou" thread, but I was simply explaining to someone why it received very little TV coverage: http://tigerboard.com/boards/view.php?message=14854402

I'm glad that everyone else here seems to understand that.
