choice to play Missouri or Auburn every year, I think the schools currently in the East would all prefer Missouri.

Maybe Georgia, since Auburn is their cross-division rival and they might get paired with an easier team from the West (e.g. Ole Miss, MSU, Arkansas).

So the East would vote 6-1 against it, if not 7-0, and then you have Alabama from the West voting against it, with lots of influence.

So I don't see how it could possibly get a majority approval.
